Mark your calendars. The 2008 Florida Leadership Academies, sponsored by the FLDOE William C. Golden Professional Development Program, will be held on June 22-27 and July 13-18 at the Embassy Suites-USF in Tampa.

William C. Golden Professional Development Program for School Leaders Activity

Academies sponsored by FLDOE’s William C. Golden (WCG) Program

The WCG professional development program for school leaders provides high quality professional development opportunities to insure that school leaders have access to the tools and resources essential to this task. WCG Professional Development Resources provide essential follow-up and support to assist school leaders to effectively develop and demonstrate competency as high-performing instructional leaders, including:

Training in the use of Florida’s Continuous Improvement Model
Classroom Walk-Through Training
Florida SREB Leadership Training
DOE Leadership Academies and Forums
Ongoing mentoring and coaching by a statewide network of highly qualified retired school leaders
